Located in the southwestern part of Antioquia, within the Western Andes, Jardín is a hidden gem of Colombia’s coffee landscape. Its high altitudes, ranging from 1,700 to 2,100 meters above sea level, foster a slow bean maturation that enhances natural sweetness and results in a complex, elegant acidity. The volcanic soils, rich in organic matter, and a well-distributed rainfall pattern throughout the year allow for two annual harvests under ideal conditions for producing exceptional coffees. Coffee in this region is cultivated by small- and medium-scale family farmers, where knowledge is passed down through generations, ensuring responsible agricultural practices and consistent quality in every cup.

The mountainous terrain creates diverse microclimates, giving rise to micro-lots with unique flavor profiles that are highly valued in specialized markets. Since May 2022, Helvetia has established a purchase point in Jardín, offering coffee growers a direct alternative for commercialization following the closure of the Andes cooperative.

Our mission is clear: to add value to the producer by removing intermediaries and building trusting relationships based on quality, sustainability, and shared development. From this location, Helvetia leads certification and sustainability programs that promote the region’s economic, social, and environmental growth.

Our close connection with producers allows us to directly identify Jardín’s coffee potential and tailor it to the demands of the most discerning markets. ATUNKAA DECAF This coffee is taken to the Descafecol Decaf plant that does the Sugar Cane decaf process, where every batch of coffee is independently processed to keep its complete traceability and superb quality.
